I've been trying for two hours to capture the footage for our short story. I believe it is finally working, at least I hope it does this time. However, because I lost an entire class period I am going to be running short on time.  I feel bad because we have known about this project for weeks. However, there was nothing I could do to get my group to speed of the filming process. So I am here capturing the footage last minute. Maybe Haag will cut me some slack. I am still going to do whatever I can to finish on time, whatever that may be.

As a group, we briefly discussed our short story. We determined that we are going to finish filming next class and this weekend.

As a group, we briefly discussed our short story, and determined when we are going to finish filming.

I began working on my COW project again. I need to write some sort of script for it so it is more than just a random carton. I also need to ask Kelton about some elements to make them run more smoothly.

Discussed video announcements in class today.

As a group, we briefly discussed our short story.

I did what I could to finish the track segment. It is not very good yet, but that is because there is no good footage at the moment.

Our group filmed over break. However, there is still more we have to do. We are working on figuring out when we will finish filming.

I am beginning to work on some track footage. However, I would still like to do interviews. I would also like more footage. I think that even if I am pressured to work on the video for the film festival, I will add more to it afterwords for the video announcements.

Next class I am going to work on the track segment.

I was planning to film the Boys Soccer match on April 8th. However, I did not realize it was over break. I realize this was poor planning on my part. However, I already filmed two things so I still reached my requirement.

4/2/09

Today I considered some more ideas for the sports piece on the video announcements. I looked at some times online to get a good idea of how long, on average, an event lasts. I think instead of dictating what else could be happening during the same amount of time, I will ask the athletes what they would do. I might mix in a few humorous concepts from my original idea. However, the interviews and highlights are the important part. Hannah and Kailyn also want to enter the piece in the film festival so this puts extra pressure on me to finish my parts quickly. However, at the current moment there is no footage of track or any other sports, so I cannot work on anything except for concepts.

I also spent some time discussing the short story with my group. We are filming over break.
